Narendramama
I have known and experienced Mama’s generosity before I even met him. When I first met mama after moving to US, I admired his kind, jovial, funny, always can do, full of energy attitude. Over the years Mama has been the brother and guiding light that my mom has become so dependent on. Mama has also become a traveling companion and a friend to my dad. But the thing I will always remember mama, for that matter whole family and be forever grateful for, is without hesitation he offered up his home and his family’s assistance for my wedding. Everyone accommodated and helped which is true reflection of mama. I feel myself and my family lucky, privileged and blessed to receive mama’s care and unconditional love. He will be wholeheartedly missed by Devyaniben, Pravinbhai, Chetan and Krishna.

It was heart-warming to read Sanjeevs beautiful eulogy of his beloved father it truly defines that he was a man of character and accomplished so much in his life.
I have fond memories of my dear father in law & kaka laughing & sharing stories. My mother in law would be so excited that both kaka & kaki were coming to stay & she would relish in her plans about what favourite culinary dishes she would make for them to eat. When our beloved papa passed away, we found he had kept a special shelf in his cupboard. This shelf had treasured sentimental possessions and amongst these things we found he kept a lovely picture frame of kaka & kaki when they were newly married. Although kaka lived in America & papa in the UK, I could see the bond between the two brothers was very strong & papa loved adored & respected his younger brother immensely.
Jayesh, Sanjeev, Mital, the days ahead will seem almost impossible but I hope you can all take great comfort & support from the beautiful memories you spent with your father knowing that he lived a full & wonderful life filled with love from you all.
Kaka i will miss your jokes, infectious laughter & wisdom. forever With us in our prayers & hearts. - JSK

One of the fondest memories I have of Narendra Dada was when he came to London in 2012. I adored my dada more than anything and I was so excited to meet his younger brother, Narendra. My dada and Narendra Dada would laugh and joke with each other and it was obvious they shared a very special bond.
When they were in our sitting room I drew both Narendra Dada and my dada whilst they were talking to each other. The drawing attached is the sketch I did of Narendra Dada and my dada dated it on the right of the picture because I wanted to remember the day when I met Narendra Dada.
The second memory I have of Narendra Dada was when he came to London following my dada’s passing. He was a bright light within the darkness. He lessened the pain with his charming smile, infectious laughter and kind nature. I did not want him to leave because he gave us such enjoyment and he had the purest soul like my dada.
He was one of a kind and I’m lucky to have met him so I will cherish the few but meaningful memories I have of him. The peace I have is hoping that Narendra Dada is now with my dada, both shining bright together.
I send my deepest condolences to all of Narendra Dada’s family.
Love From,
Rhea

Narendra dada was a very positive, kind and loving man. I will always remember how he made my sister Rhea and I laugh constantly with his jokes that I didn’t always understand but because he found them so funny we also did. When my ba and dada passed narendra dada came to spend time with us, my mum Sangeeta made Batata vada his favourite food he loved eating this dish so much. My dad Alkesh always used to tell me how narendra dada liked to drink cudi and my dada used to like daal. I have a very fond memory of narendra dada when he came to visit when Rhea and I were just young children, my dada was so excited to introduce his brother to us and for us to spend time together. I will cherish this memory we were all enjoying the summer weather, my dad took us all out for the day where we had pizza on some benches, giggling with each other. Watching the bond between narendra dada and my own dada gave me so much pleasure they found each other so funny, always laughing and happy together, looking on the bright side of life, enjoying every day. I will miss narendra dada his spirit and love will always be safe with us

Dear Narendrabhai
You will be always missed within our friend circle. You have been a very strong person performing all your duties at home and outside. I will personally miss your conversations and jokes with my late husband, Sureshbhai. You will be always in our memories
All family members rennet this:
The road ahead seems dark now,
There is not much you can do
But place yourself within His hands,
And he will see you through

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Kaka. I'd like to share a few moments about how he was such an inspiration to us.
I think way back to 2014 both Kaka and Mami were over here in London, they stayed at mums house and as we were a few hundred feet away we were always together. I remember those days been very warm and happy. We all would get in the car and go shopping even though Mami was susceptible to a chill. On one occasion we went to look for new settes and Kaka made a point of choosing carefully as they would be needed for a long time it took till 2018 to buy he's recommendation. One occasion we went with both my dad and Kaka my daughters Elisha and Rhea to a shopping center and we were sitting outside have a drink and Kaka was able to hold a long conversation with the girls making them laugh about the way he was able to make words sound differently. Elisha brought that memory up this week on the sad news.
Recently Kaka was the light at the end of the tunnel on the passing of he's brother Jayarambhai, his presence was a comfort to us all and especially my mum who was happy to have him stay again. We were all able to take comfort from him. Again the car trips continued as he would accompany us to drop Rhea back to university in Nottingham which was a four hour round trip we did this at least twice, we would talk constantly throughout.
Shortly afterwards in the passing of my mum he came again (within a few weeks) and again he's presence was a real comfort to us all.
Our last "Road trip" was January last year we went to the Mandir to donate after mum and afterwards we went to a few car dealers to look for a car he was able to advise so much and a few weeks later in he's return to the states I told him the price and I think he was impressed, he found the electric revolution interesting although not convinced by it.
Whilst on he's last trip Sangeeta made batawada which he relished and the last count was about twenty five probably an unclaimed record to this day. We spoke on the phone recently for about an hour about everything and especially about the lock down he would say come over and I'd say awasihu. I thought because of he's fantastic health he would be around till he's nineties and that makes it so hard to loose him, but not spiritually.
Alkesh, Sangeeta, Elisha & Rhea.

Thank you Alkesh for showing our Pappa’s true soul caring about everyone and everything Certain topics like car buying were like making a deal for him and he would give you advice even if you did not want it and how to size up the car dealers Wow Sangeeta must make some great batata vadas for him to knock down 25 in a sitting. Thank you for your kind words

So glad I got to see Narendra uncle few years ago, when he visited me in England ... I knew my dad would never be able to visit me ,but I was so happy that day that he was coming to see me so I asked Tika what his favourite food was and made it .... as he liked to laugh I asked him who cooks better me or Tika and he smiled and giggled and that’s how I will remember Narendra uncle

Dear Dada,
Shivani and I both love you so much and think about you everyday. We remember laughing with you during the summer as you and Ba would bring up memories from your childhood and spend hours talking about it. The day we went to the temple together and you told us the directions the whole way, making sure we looked both ways before turning, we were lucky to have someone who was always looking out for us. Watching the smile on your face while you ate your favorite food batata vadas with ketchup will always be my best memory of you. I remember how much fun we would have at Indian picnics together eating all sorts of fried foods and how happy you were when I got you the largest watermelon slices. Even now I remember you in your old house from when I was little, throughout the years it has been a blessing to know you. We were always so inspired by how passionate you were about traveling and being friends with everyone. Shivani and I were always excited to come over knowing you would always give us the best ice creams and snacks. You constantly joked around with us and that is how we will always remember you, a funny, resilient, and kind grandfather who never failed to love us endlessly. We know you’ll be watching over us just as lovingly from the stars.
Lots of love,
Minal and Shivani

Dearest Mama,
The phone has stopped ringing now!
Every evening I have received your call and now it is like there isn’t anyone left out there to call me. If I was not able to pick up the call you always left a message “Jayshree tu kyan Gai” and now I am asking you Mama “tame kya jata rahiya amne badha ne chodine?”
All your grand children and all your family, young and old and especially my mom we are thinking that you will call any second and start joking the minute we pick up your phone call.
Mami and yourself, both of you have helped set up my house in the US. Jayesh, Sanjeev, and Meetal have always been loving brothers and sister and their children have again been the best brothers and sisters to my daughters. With all your prayers, even the family additions: Jignabhabhi, Tika and Nimishkumar have always respected and loved me as part of the family. Mama & Mami, I must give a big applause for raising such good children.
Mama, each person in the family/friends will remember you whenever they will take a bite of batawada since I am sure each person you have known has once in their lifetime fed you batawadas!
By the way, if I must tell you Shivani has always told you to market the shrikhand under the name: Bachu’s Shrikhand. Shivi says no one makes better Shrikhand then Dada.
Roy says I will miss talking with you and Minal also says I will miss enjoying all the deep fried foods I prepared for you Mama.
Mama, I learnt how to take care of Mother Nature and earth from the trip to Udaipur, Abu & Ambaji you and Mami took me on. I had watched you dodging all the traffic on the road to feed the cow even if it was just a banana peel. I have quite a few times mentioned to Minal & Shivani that you and mom have taught me not to kill an insect or waste paper.
Mama, I know now you are free from all the physical pain and resting peacefully in the arms of Shreemad Rajchandra and Shree dwarkadhish and we will remember you with all the good memories you have left for us.
With lots of love, Jayshree and Roy

Yes his love for anything with potatoes and specially batata vada. He was a man of many talents and always was willing to learn something new case in point shrikhand. Yes knowing how Pappa always put all his effort in anything he did, he could have sold it well.
