Joshi was fondly called R V by his friends. I came in contact with him when he was Osaka Manager. When he came to know about our family visit to Japan ,he invited us to stay with him though we hardly met earlier. Our contacts increased when he was at Mumbai and after moving to Pune. We were regular visitors each other's house. We used to enjoy discussing various matters. He was kind hearted, soft spoken and always ready to help.i have lost good friend in his abrupt departure. I will miss his company and always remember 4 decades association. I pray God his soul rest in peace and give strength to his members to bear his loss.

Ramchandra will always be a beacon for me. His presence always inspired us go beyond our self defined boundaries. Always ready to share a hearty laugh, a doyen in his domain in Banking, he rose to dizzying heights. Never allowed that success to bear heavily on his shoulders. A perfect family man who has made all of us feel privileged to have been touched by his gentle ways. I sincerly join Sachin, Rahul and all of us in the family in praying for his peace which he deserves having completed all his responsibilities on earth so diligently.

Joshi sir was a boss in office and an elder brother and a friend outside. He was a great Manager - a go-getter, out of the box thinker and a risk taker. He had the knack of navigating through difficult and tricky situations - successfully. Business figures would gallop under his leadership. I recall, on a single day STCI once clocked a profit of mind boggling Rs 160 crore! He was generous with all his staff.
I had a great personal equation with him. I recall a fun picnic we had while at BOI Finance - which Rahul also attended. Anjali and I visited him at is Mumbai residence, Shehnaz and also in Pune. He stayed with me in New York and visited us in Mumbai and Pune too. We attended Savai Gandharva music festival in Pune twice. Those times, we sorely missed Vaini. In fact, when she came to know that after my superannuation in February 2013, Anjali and I would be settling down in Pune, she was thrilled and said that we would have loads of fun together. Unfortunately that could not happen. God's wish again. There are too many memories to recount. May be at a different time and a different forum. I was in touch with him through the pandemic. He also messaged me his safe arrival in USA on 21st April 2021. This sudden turn of events leading straight to his being snatched away, has been quite a shock. But some solace was, in his final days he was under the care of his sons and family. God has His own ways. I pray to God to give his family the strength to bear this loss. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
