Obituary of Mahesh Patel

Please share a memory of Mahesh to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mahesh K. Patel of Union, NJ passed away on March 27, 2020, at Westchester Medical Center in New York State. He leaves behind his children Dipa, Lopa, and Ankit, his son-in-law Sandip, and grandchildren Aiden and Anissa as well as his 3 sisters and loved ones. Mahesh was born in India and grew up in the small farm town of Bhadran. He went on to advance his education in Chemistry. As he grew his family he spent his later years in London and then immigrated to New Jersey where he spent his final years. Mahesh enjoyed his work as a chemist at Endo Pharmaceuticals for over 20 years. When he was not focused on his work, he enjoyed spending his time with family, friends, as well as being heavily involved with all dynamics of the BAPS Mandir. Mahesh lived his life on the basis of three principles: 1) give more than you take 2) find family, friends, and activities you love and devote yourself to them 3) learn, elevate, and pass on the teaching of church and god. Using these as his life pillars, he managed to help many people and touch even more lives in the most positive way by being loving, supportive, enthusiastic, providing individual guidance, and always looking to help others. We understand that many people are grieving and the world crisis does not make paying your respects and getting closure any easier. Even though you will not be able to join the family physically, we will be broadcasting the funeral digitally on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, the link is provided on this page. In lieu of sending flowers/gifts to the family, we wish for you to honor his spirit of giving and helping others by donating to the BAPs Mandir, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association. Once the world pandemic has been resolved, there will be a formal memorial held at a later date.
