Dear Arti, Rajesh, Akshata, Yateen, Rhea, Atharva and Arohi,
Please accept our heartiest condolences. We were fortunate enough to spend time with Indu paachi when we stayed at Arti- Rajesh’s place in Summer 2018. Indu paachi shared a wonderful bond with her grandkids and she adored them. She showered Anaya with her love too.
We will always remember her kind eyes, warm smile and loving words. Her blessings will continue to remain with all of us. May her gentle soul attain sadgati.
Regards,
Anaya, Meenal and Ravi

There are so many memories attached to Indupacchi & Shantarambappa that it's difficult to put them down. All of them came alive again when I got the news of her passing away.....Remember the holidays spent with them in Dombivili & later in Bangalore....As a little girl I envied her long hair and wanted a long plait like hers. She uncomplainingly allowed me to plait her hair & play with it. She told me the stories of all the movies that she'd seen & so vividly that I still remember them...Khilona, Kati Patang, Do Raaste were just a few of them. I remember her as a very positive person, full of compassion, always ready to help anyone in difficulty. Both Shantarambappa & she helped whoever they could...doing hospital duties for friends, helping with finances, sending food across whenever needed....the list is endless.
I'm so glad that Arti & Akshata could bring her to India in 2019 & those few days spent together will be something we all will cherish. Pray that her soul attains sadgati & I'm sure that she will be happy to be with Shantarambappa again. Her ever smiling face & love will always stay with us.

Indakka
Indakka, as we called her foundly, was an ever smiling , ever loving woman. Never have I ever see anyone so calm and content all the time. Growing up , it was a delight to go visit Indakka and Shantaram bhaiyya as I would always get the love just like a mother.
She would begin with her signature mazaa/slice mango juice from the refrigerator and go on to address me as “amu, ani kalle deevu “( what else shall I give you ).
Every visit to Bangalore, she would remember to get me something and I still have few of things they gifted us. I proudly keep the porcelain play set of tea kettle, safely guarded and not letting anyone to touch it.
When Shantaram Bhaiyya was in the hospital and Indakka came home to stay with us for few days. I would practice the brain games with her to give her company and she would giggle softly asking - “do I look silly doing this ? You do it so nicely. I can’t even balance on one leg.”
She would often place her hand on my head and say “ tuva itli moggana, devu tukka bare karo “ then again after a while she would come and say the same. Little did she realise , she had said that before.
The last visit to Bangalore in 2019 June. She was delighted to meet all of us. We also felt so light and happy as we were meeting her after so long. That one week of stay with us, Indakka , Arti and Akshata akku with the children, was like a get together of lifetime.
When it was time to depart. We couldn’t stop ourselves from tearing up. We didn’t know when we will meet again. But knew that the love we share is eternal.
When I heard the news of Indakka passing away , the first thing I could think of was, she meeting her beloved husband - Shantaram Bhaiyya. Slowly as the news set in, I knew I will never get to see her smiling face, a glow so radiant on her face. As I type this, a emotional rollercoaster memories gush through my mind. And I pray that whenever we get to meet on the other side of life. I would love to be greeted by her , smiling and calling me amu yo hanga.
I pray to the almighty that Indakka’s soul attains sadgati and she will remain in our memories forever.
Love
Deepali

Our Condolences to Arti and Akshata and their families for this bereavment of their mother.
Indu was my cousin and a most affectionate person which we have seen. Her smile is some thing which we will never forget and more so her shrill laughter during any Bagade Family get-togethers in our olden days.
We used to have good time with Indu during our stint in Bangalore from 1997 to 2004. We were fortunate enough to have met Indu and the entire family two years ago during their visit to Mumbai.
A sad feeling for such beautiful human being. We pray to God for her soul to rest in peace.
Jairam and Sheila Khambadkone

I remember Indu Akka as a very charming and loving person. She was always cheerful and had that bright smile which one can never forget.
She was very hospitable and would insist that we stay back for a meal any time we dropped by. When we relocated from the US, Indu Akka, handed over her home to us until we settled down and found our own place.
She was very compassionate and has helped numerous people, especially the needy. Whether it was to fund a domestic maid's children education or to help a maid build her house, she would not hesitate to help them financially and stand by them in times of need.
There would be so many people who would be grieving this great loss.
We will miss you Indu Akka.

My loving cousin, Indakka (Shaila) visited us in Bengaluru with her family in June 2019 which was her last visit here. I had always considered Indakka and my BIL Shantaram Kallianpur akin to my parents. Indakka was a big hearted lady, always smiling and having concern for the wellbeing of all. Indakka will always be our hearts forever.
